New HP books out on Thursday!

Way back in May we learned that JK Rowling would soon release four new books. The internet went a little crazy as some of us anticipated long queues outside the bookstore, maybe even camping overnight, to get our hands on a brand new HP book and devour every word in the first 24 hours.

Well, the new books may not stand up to the hype of the release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (20 years ago on 8th July) and they may be e-books instead of real, cozy-smelling paper versions, but the new release is still exciting and it’s happening on Thursday!

In news released on Pottermore.com, the publishers say we should all prepare “to delve deeper into the rich history of magic with this new series of eBook shorts, inspired by the British Library exhibition and its companion books, Harry Potter: A History of Magic.”

The first two books, A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts and A Journey Through Potions and Herbology will be available this Thursday. A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy and A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures will be published in July and August respectively.

We absolutely loved our visit. The staff and owner were amazing with the kids, and stayed in character when the kids asked questions about magic. I would definitely recommend for any Harry Potter fan. The props around the store and photo opportunities are next level!

Really lovely service and incredible range of Harry Potter merchandise. My daughter is obsessed and has been many times whenever in Canberra, I've been twice. The butterbeer is delicious!!!There is the flying blue car that you're able to sit in and take photos.The ship fit out is incredible.Very hot from the lights but that's my only complaint and that's because I'm old and notice the heat more than others.No one will regret stopping by here.

I took my nephews and niece to Quizzical Alley and everyone had a great time. They loved having a turn of the sorting hat, and in the Weasley’s car…and most importantly choosing out a souvenir. So many Harry Potter things!! Would love to come back during school holidays when they have classes on. Highly recommend checking out Quizzical Alley if you’re a Harry Potter fan. Thanks for a great visit!

Quizzic Alley displays were magical. Miss 11 had a great time exploring and searching through the merchandise. The car was a great photo opportunity. When we were there they had magic potion class, unfortunately we arrived too late, but the kids coming out seemed to enjoy themselves. Miss 11 enjoyed a butterbeer and walked out with a few items. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again when back in Canberra.

A very magical store with the most complete Harry Potter merchandises. This store even has more varieties than the store in Universal Studios!! The owner is sooo friendly and passionate about the world of Harry Potter. And that Qbrew is just sooooo close to the real butterbeer 👍🏻👍🏻 A must visit when you are in Canberra!

Great space full of all things Harry Potter. The owners and staff are lovely The more you look the more you see, it's a fantastic place. There's large items like the car to small touches throughout the store to look for. Get yourself a Qbrew, it was well worth the wait it was refreshing on a warm day. Bought a few items, love my hedwig snow globe and time turner. I'll return next time I'm in the ACT.

Going in knowing that most items are expensive from previous reviews, but a jaw drop moment to find a Dobby plush for $139. Great place to wander and have a photo taken in the car. Was hoping to get a memory item but above my price range. Again, I did know this going in. Did get a chocolate frog and Berties every flavour jelly bean box.The Lass that was working there was very pleasant.

Great Harry Potter store. Staff were so lovely and helpful. They have everything from books, bags, wands, robes, jewellery, and games, which you can even try out first. Out the back, they had kids doing a potions class and much more. It's definitely best to book as the day we were there, they were booked out.
