Wizarding fans the world over can breathe a sigh of relief after J.K. Rowling, author of the much-loved Harry Potter series, announced on Twitter that she has made a “full recovery” from what is likely to be COVID-19.
“I’m fully recovered” the author tweeted, after explaining to her 14.5 million Twitter followers that she had experienced all the symptoms of COVID-19 over the last two weeks but had not been tested.
Her tweet included a link to a YouTube video by a doctor from a hospital in the UK explaining a breathing and coughing technique to help relieve and prevent respiratory problems at home.
Rowling said the technique helped her a lot: “I really am completely recovered and wanted to share a technique that’s recommended by doctors, costs nothing, has no nasty side effects but could help you/your loved ones a lot, as it did me. Stay safe, everyone x.”
Rowling’s magical Wizarding World empire continues to grow with the Fantastic Beasts film series, although production was halted recently as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this week J.K. Rowling and Wizarding World Digital launched Harry Potter at Home to help those who are self-isolating during the current world situation.
