CELEBRATE HARRY POTTER BOOK DAY AT AUSTRALIA’S MOST MAGICAL STORE
Harry Potter Book Day is celebrated by fans around the globe, and here in Australia Quizzic Alley is the most magical place to be!!
This international event celebrates J.K. Rowling’s iconic series with bookshops, libraries, schools and shops like Quizzic Alley hosting parties and other festivities all over the world!
The theme for this year is MAGICAL PLACES. From platform 9 3/4 to Gringotts Bank, the Potions Classroom to the Forbidden Forrest, there’s a whole wizarding world to explore!
As you can see from the photos, this is not our first Harry Potter Book Night! We ran two events in our Canberra store in 2019 and 2020 before COVID shut down all the fun!!! Now we’re determined to celebrate big time! There will be load of activities in-store including:
- A quiz and a prize draw
- Prizes for best dressed
- A Butterbeer bath bomb to make a keep!
- A chance to make your own personal Almanac
…and loads more..
Entry is FREE but bring your knuts, galleons and sickles with you as many of the activities will require a small fee. All funds raised from activities on the night go to Feel the Magic who work with grieving children, many of whom have lost a parent just like Harry. Not only THAT but all proceeds from the sale of QBrew on the night will be donated as well. It costs around $1500 to send a child to Camp Magic where kids learn skills for healing and coping with grief. Our goal is to raise enough to send AT LEAST ONE GRIEVING KID TO CAMP MAGIC.
Of course, Harry Potter Book Night is for everyone to enjoy and adults are welcome. However, many of the activities will appeal more to children. If you’re an adult fan or a child at heart, you will still have a great time and you will really enjoy making a bathbomb and completing your Almanac but this event is definitely skewed towards encouraging young witches and wizards to read the books.
There are two sessions – at 5pm and 7pm. All you have to do is choose your session! Again, tickets are FREE so they won’t last long.
